Terms of Service

Effective July 15, 2026

Effective date: July 15, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your purchase and use of MakerQ, provided by C3D Prints ("we", "us"). By installing or using MakerQ, or by purchasing a license, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use MakerQ.

The software

MakerQ is a self-hosted desktop application for 3D-print-shop quoting. It runs on your own computer; your business data stays on your machine (see our Privacy Policy).

Plans & licenses

The Lifetime plan is no longer offered. Existing Lifetime licenses remain valid and keep every feature they already had.

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use MakerQ according to your plan. Activation keys are issued to you individually. Sharing, reselling, or publishing activation keys is prohibited and may result in termination without refund.

Billing, renewal & cancellation

Refunds

See our Refund Policy. In short: you have a 14-day money-back window on your initial Starter or Pro purchase; renewals are non-refundable but you can cancel anytime to stop future charges.

Acceptable use

You agree not to: (a) reverse-engineer, circumvent, or disable the licensing/activation system; (b) resell, sublicense, or redistribute the software or activation keys; or (c) use MakerQ for any unlawful purpose.

Intellectual property

We own MakerQ and all related intellectual property. You retain ownership of the business data you create and store in MakerQ.

Your responsibilities

As the operator of a self-hosted application, you are solely responsible for the customer information you collect, store, and process in MakerQ, including its security, backups, and compliance with applicable privacy and consumer-protection laws.

Disclaimer of warranties

MakerQ is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that MakerQ will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, revenue, or profits. Our total liability for any claim relating to MakerQ is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate your license if you breach these Terms (for example, key sharing or unlawful use). You may stop using MakerQ at any time.

Governing law & disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, USA, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute will be resolved in the courts located in Suffolk County, Massachusetts, and you consent to that jurisdiction.

Changes

We may update these Terms; continued use after an update constitutes acceptance. The effective date above will change.
